lavender & Clover

In big tree city mice were scuttling around going to shops running into each other and walking into their homes.  Lavender and Clover were good little mice they never fort or argued.  Spicy tail and long wisker were very good at looking after there little mouslings.

So let's get on with the story I don't have much time. One night when Long Wisker and Spicy Tail went to sleep Lavender and Clover went to Lilypad Pond to fish for baby goldfish.  But it was dark so Lavender and Clover didn't see the owl coming right for them.
Luckily, lulu a night mouse saw the owl and said to follow her.Together they made there way back to 1678 mouseford street.

The next morning Lavender and Clover had gumtree tea and nut cereal.
Then they packed their bags and skated to Gumnut primary school.  Miss Rose was Clovers teacher, and Lavenders teacher was called Miss Lily Pily.

So said Miss Rose I hope you all have done your homework.Clover and Parsley smirked.   You to don't be misjif. You know that your''ll  be going home not knowing anything!

Penguin Boxes

Check out our Gisborne Herald article about our penguin boxes here

Our Inquiry Topic is: Actions Speak Louder than Words

This term we made Little blue penguin boxes because we want our penguins to have a better home.

We did this because we want little blue penguins to breed. Their population is going down to a lower rate.

We placed our Penguin boxes around Hamanatua Stream and Wainui. That's where the penguins breed.

To monitor our penguin boxes we open the lid to see if it has any penguins or eggs in it because we need them to have a better home.

Nga Manu Waiata will further support us by using traps to eradicate pests and bring more population to penguins!

Being in the wild makes me feel wild and it is great.I am a wild queen! I love being in the ocean and making sandcastles in the soft sand. I love squishing my toes into the squishy sand. I love snuggling in my bed and listening to the wind and the rain howling outside as I squish up to my squishy teddy bear. On rainy days I keep myself from being bored. I do things like making teddy bears beds, knitting, doing puzzles, reading books and playing with my friends.
