On the 16 of November 2021, my syndicate (Moana) went to watch a play that the Ilminster Green Team put on every 2 years for some of the schools. When we were settled on our seats, a Year 8 boy came out and introduced the play and what it’s message was about. Then the play started.
A Year 8 dressed as a nanny crayfish came out along with a semi old kina and two younger crayfishes.
Firstly, the Crayfish was called Nanny Koura. (The Maori name for Crayfish). She told a story to the eldest of the young crayfish. 4 friends come out and dump their litter around the skate park. They laughed and joked and then went away. Leaving the place a MESS!
Then, that night, 3 aliens, two servants, and the King of the Morons came out. When they saw the mess they thought that they could dump their stuff there too, and so they did. They even dumped their friendly companion, the robot. They piled all their stuff on top of the robot and left the planet.
When the kids came back the next day, they cried out in despair as their precious skate park had been ruined. They went to nanny Koura and begged for advice. Nanny Koura refused, at first, but then the problem got worse, as the aliens came back with another pile of rubbish. So Nanny Koura went up to the aliens. In surprise the aliens mistook Nanny Koura for the queen of the Morons and begged for mercy. She went along with it and frowned at them in disgrace, so she made them all work together to make the skate park clean and then it was the end.
Lastly, I really enjoyed the play as its message was good and It was very humorous. At the end they did a dance and we asked lots of questions. It was a very great play and I can’t wait to go to Ilminster next year! The play was very advising and I hope I get to be in the Green Team next year.
